Sophie runs Sophie Seymour Equestrian which is based near Badminton and, along with competing including teamchasing, specializes in breaking and training difficult horses. Sophie has ridden all her life but has a special story with this horse called Roo. Some of you may have read about it, but due to her horse dying in tragic circumstances she has created Roo's Legacy where she trains one troubled horse at the time - and turns them round. Her page is fascinating with lots of videos. (photo credit to www.facebook.com/indyequinephotography )
Caroline lives in a stunning part of Scotland, show jumped in her teens and has ridden for her country. She currently competes at BE Intermediate and has a facebook page called Orange Fox Eventing. Caroline has been a massive support since the start of Rider Eye, and it is down to her that I now carry the orange hi viz - if you look at her page you will see that orange features a lot in her life! I did not know until I did some research for this article that Caroline had a very serious road accident and was not supposed to be able to ride again - true grit!
Jemima did BE Pony Trials on Foxy (who appears on this Page every now and then) and currently competes at BE Intermediate on her only horse, Sammy, who she has brought on herself . She has just finished University so who knows what the future will bring - you can read about her Jemima Gray Eventing. She nearly had to sell her horses when she was 17 as she had an undiagnosed health problem which resulted in her being unable to go to school, ride or do anything much at all. It was finally diagnosed, she got back on her horses and, as long as she is careful with her nutrition, she can cope. Again, I take my hat off to her.
